ROWING REGATTA.
FIFTY-FOUR CREWS. NORTH SHORE'S RECORD. IXTER-CLUB EYEXTS TO-MORROW. The seventh annual Xorth Shore regatta to be held at Dovonport to-mor-ro«- afternoon gives every promise of an exceptionally interesting afternoons racing. The record entry of .".4 crews, comprising 100 oarsmen, has been received for the seven races. For the first time since the inception of the regatta the Tatiranga Club will be represented. Each race carries an inter-club trophy, points counting 3 for first. 2 for second and 1 for third. The club securing the greatest number of points becomes the holder of the F. R. Bennett Memorial Shield. This trophy is at present held by the West End Rowing Club. The first race starts at 2.20 p.m.. and crews are warned that all races will start punctually to time. With the big entries the officials have a heavy task, and the full co-operation ot all crews is necessary. Late arrivals will be disqualified. In the event of the weather conditions hemp at all doubtful club secretaries are requested to ring the Masonic Hotel after 12 noon, when information regarding holding the regatta will be given. The club can accommodate a certain number of boats on Friday night, and information can be had from the secretary, Mr H F Mallett, phone 41-702 The officials are: —Starter. Mr. S. H.
