TAKAPUNA CITIZENS* BAND

A large gathering of jolly dance patrons attended an enjoyable and successful social and dance* in the Band Hall, Taharoto Road. Takapuna, on Saturday evening under the auspices of Mr. and Mrs. TT. Good, in aid of the produce stall of the Ta.,apuna, Citizens' Band and Takapuna R.S.A. Club monster carnival week in January next. Perfect dance music was rendered by the band orchestra, with extras by the Hollywood Hotspots and Mr. J. H.'Henderson (accordion). Band secretary L. J. Henderson officiated as master of ceremonies. Special attractions during the evening were the personal appearances again of Mr. Harry Ellison, bird and nnitnnl imitator, also Miss Ellison, tap dancer, and "Margo," the niagleian. Another entertaining act was Mr. Keg. Craxton's performing Alsatian clog. "Popeye"' and "Sinbad' , gave an exhibition of burlesque step dancing.
