DOMINION HONEY.
UNITED KINGDOM MARKET.
GREAT POSSIBILITIES
"New Zealand honey has a market in the United Kingdom of almost unlimited possibilities," said Major John Buckley, managing director of the English firm of C. and F. Morton, and representative of the New Zealand Honey Control Board in London, who arrived at Wellington by the Wanganella last week. He added that a good system of distribution must be maintained.
One year's work in market development hail brought results far exceeding all hopes, he said yesterday. The poor crop last year had resulted in a setbark, but even this might be turned to advantage if future crops were of high standard and if proper provision was made for reserves.
Major Buckley added that New Zealand honey was already being placed by the British public in the same categor'v as the Dominion's butter and by continuing such successful methods of marketing, hopes would be fully realised.
Major Buckley will probably resume discussions with the Minister" of Marketing, the Hon. W. Nash, during his stay in Xcw Zealand, in continuation of conversations they had in London. He will spend several weeks in New Zealand before leaving lor Vancouver and New York.
