DEATH OF TRAINER.

The death occurred at the Auck]*n4 Hospital .this morning of the well-known El lei® lie trainer Mr. F. L. Dowding, for some months past has suffered from •heart trouble. Mr. Dow ding came from England, where he was associated with some big stable* in the north. Among the horses he trained at Ellenslie were .JaHdy Kavo, Sentinella, Delrain, Kitty Barlowe, Pnrple Heather and All Irish. The last-named won the Pakuranga Hunt Cup at EUenlie in August, and the Hunters' Steeplechase at the Auckland spring meeting. At the last Great Northern meeting All IriA accounted for t!he Hunt Club Cup and the Hunters' Hurdles.
