ST. JOHN AMBULANCE.
VERT HIGH STANDARD.
Following his inspection of the Auckland Corps of the St. John Ambulance Brigade. Colonel J. G. Barclay, Director of Ambulance and Commissioner in New Zealand of the Order of St. John, met the executive officers of the association and discussed with them various matters concerning the well-being of the Order. Colonel Barclay was much impressed with the advancement made in the city. He found the activities of both association and brigade are of a very high standard, and that the increasing demands for services are being excellently met. Auckland, with its splendid headquarters, well-equipped transport and other services, appeared to be in. a position to supply all the demands made upon it on behalf of suffering humanity. Colonel Barclay stated that throughout the Dominion there had been a steady advancement in the activities of the Order and an ever-increasing appreciation on the part of the public . of the services rendered for the good of humanity.
