METHODIST SYNOD MOTION.

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.)

PALMERSTON NORTH, Thursday. The Hawke's Bay-Manawatu Synod of the Methodist Church, following receipt of a special report concerning divorce and remarriage, adopted a resolution to the effect that a minister may remarry divorced persons if he is satisfied, after a consultation with both parties, that they have a sincere and honest purpose and an attitude of mind which is in conformity with the Church's view of what marriage should mean and stand for.
