CANBERRA, November 24.
The Prime Minister, Mr. J. A. Lyons, will be in a position to announce his new Ministry in a few days.
Sir Archdale Parkhill, who was defeated at the recent general election. tendered his resignation as Minister of defence at the week-end, and Mr. W. M. Hughes is freely mentioned as his successor.
Having broken all records as Leader of the Commonwealth Government and having filled more portfolios than any other man. Mr. Lyons, colloquially known as ''Honest Joe," revealed yesterday that in his temporary role as Minister of Defence he wrote a letter to himself as Prime Minister in which he made certain and threatened serious consequences if Ot» Prime Minister rejected them.
