Work i* still proceeding on it. though part has been in occupation for sumo time. The building scheme has advanced rapidly considering its magnitude, and at its present stage can be judged as a remarkable addition to London's public building*. As (sections of the building are completed they are brouglrt into service, and a start has jus't been made in moving the university's library of 300.000 books from South Kensington. This considerable library will grow with the yeaTa, and plenty of room has been left for expansion hi mildew-proof rooms, witU thermostatically controlled -temperatures and lire-proof walls.
