£65 DAMAGES AWARDED.
SEQUEL TO COLLISION.

HAMILTON, Wednesday. Damage* amounting to £6*5 1/9 were awarded Carrick Nisbet, of Hamilton (Mr. King), by Mr. S. L. Paterson,.S.M., in a reserved decision given in tHe Hamilton Magistrate's Court. Niebet claimed £72 11/9 damages from Hubert Atranto Ryland, of Auckland (Mr V. R. Meredith), and Jack Harold Tyler, of Hamilton (Mr. Tomkins), for alleged negligence arising out of a collision on the Great South Road at Mercer. The magistrate held that there wae no negligence on the part' of plaintiff, of the defendant Tyler. The accident was caused by the negligence of Ryland. It was no uee the driver of a car watching the , centre white line aa Ryland had done, said the magistrate. The safest procedure wee to watch the lefthand <side.
