ENGLISH AND SCOTTISH. INCREASE THIS YEAR. DIVIDEND RATE RAISED. (Received 12 noon.) LONDON, November 13.
Net profit* of £276,126 are *hown in the account* of the English, Scottish and Australian Bank, Ltd., for the year ended Jui; > 30, £18,666 more than last year. Wi.h a balance of £306,787 brought forward there is £582.913 available for distribution. The directors propose to apply £171,085 to paying a dividend, making 7 p*T cent for the year, place £65,000 to reserves, £10,000 to the officers' provident fund, and £30.000 to reduction of the bank premise* account. This leaves a balance of £305,978 to be carried forward.
