GIRLS' LIFE BRIGADE.

SUCCESSFUL CONCERT. A very successful concert was given in the Unity Hall on Saturday evening by the Auckland battalions of the Girls" Life Brigade. The programme opened with a pianoforte duet by members of the first Auckland battalion. This was followed by a character song in which all those taking part wore eighteenth century costumes. Another song.

"Rendezvous. - ' was also given by the first Auckland girl*.

Maypole and folk dances were presented by girls from the seventh and eighth battalions, while a Girls' LifeBrigade demonstration was given by the ninth Auckland girl-;. Physical drill was also featured in the programme. this being presented by members of the tenth Auckland battalion.

Other items included pianoforte solos by members of the second battalion and songs by the third, tenth and eleventh battalions. A talk on the work of the Girl*' Life Brigade was given by Commandant Earle.
