NELSON, this day.

While cycling along the main-road to Richmond last night a young man, Garth Owen, was knocked down by a motor car and thrown over the bonnet. His head went through the windshield, receiving a bad scalp wound. The motorist continued on his way, abandoning the cycle two miles further on. The cyclist, who was left lying on the road, was picked up in a dazed condition by a following motorist and brought to the public hospital. YOTJICG HAH CHARGED. NEGLIGENCE ALLEGED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) NELSON, this day. A young man, John Charles Shannon, appeared in the Magistrate's Court this morning on a charge of negligently driving a motor car, causing bodily injury. The case was adjourned.
