After formal business had been disposed of in tlie House of Representatives tl'is morning the Prime Minister. Mr. Savage, took urgency for six classes of the Kstimates. Practically the whole morning was devoted to a discussion ..11 thi* Internal Affairs vote of .€-t:">(i,4l.">. and many subjects were criticised, including expenditure on the High Commissioner's office. Shortly before the luncheon adjournment the Prime Minister applied the closure and the vote was passed. The House then proceeded to discuss the vote »(f £(>.700,423 for the Pensions Department.
