On .the motion of the Prime Minister, Mr. Savage. the House of Reprtnentativi* to-day decided to sit on Mondays, with the object of completing the legislative programme early next month. The ]wico hart been slow during the pa*t two months, despite the dearth of major legislation, but there are indications now that the usual pre-Chrin.tmas rush is setting in. Monday sittings come as a penalty for procrastination in the early stages of the session. Marketing to be a source of engro<?*iing interest to the Opposition, and Mr. K. J. Holyoake (National, Mortueka) to-day gave notice to ask Mr. Nash whether the (lovernment intends to make a revision of the marketing plan, as it is rumoured in London that the number of distributors is about to be reduced.
