SENATE ELECTION.

AUSTRALIAN RESULTS. (Received J1.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. It now appears certain that Labour has won 10 of the 19 Senate vacancies. Senator G. Brown was re-elected for Queensland, and the re-election of his two colleagues is considered beyond doubt. The Oovemment won the third South Australian vacancy, Mr. K. Wilson, being elected. With 17 Senators who did not retire the Government will have a following of 20 in the new Senate. On completion of the count in New South Wales the fourth Labour candidate, Mr. W. Ashley, was elected. Labour also won tli* two remaining vacancies in West Australia. Messrs. J. 1 rawer and R. Clothier, being elected. Nona tors Pearce and Lynch, president of the Senate, were defeated.
