BUTTER SCARCITY.
Tliree Reasons Why Britain Has Scanty Supplies. DELAYED N.Z. LOADINGS. (Received 12 nooo.) LONDON, November 11. Asked what prevented increased importations of butter from New Zealand, Australia and Denmark in view of increased prices, the President of the Board of Trade, HU-. Oliver Stanley, told the House of Commons that the reasons why supplies were smaller than usual include a teni|»orary shortage of rain in Australia, delayed loadings in New Zealand, and an increased demand in Germany.
