Limited, report that the new ! business completed during the financial year ended September 30, 1937, was as follows: —In the ordinary department 3T..201 policies assuring £10,317,24*2, and in the industrial department 149,467 policies assuring £6,611.804, the total life business issued (excluding reassurances) being 184,668 policies assuring £16,929.046. In addition, in the accident department there were written 24,558 personal, accident anrl sickness policies for £6,952,671, and 8860 policies in the ordinary department were endorsed with accident benefits for £ 1,812,534.
