Mr. W. Goodfellow returned to Auckland by air from Wellington yesterday. Mr. H. H. Sterling, of Wellington, returned South by the Limited express last nipht. Mr. M. K. Draffin returned to Auckland bv the Limited express from W e.llington this morning. Bishop Liston was a passenger for Palmerston North by air liner from Auckland this morning. I Mr. .T. B. Buckleton. of Wellington, will leave Auckland by the Limited express I to-night on his return South. Mr. G. W. Sellar. of Masterton, arrived it Auckland by the Limited express this, norning. He is at the Central Hotel. j The Rev. G. Alwyn Williams, of Sydney, has been appointed to take ;harge of the parochial district of Oliura. Mr. H. E. Taylor, general manager for \*ew Zealand of the British General Klectric Company, Limited, returned South last night. Mr. C. A. Watts, secretary of the New Zealand Boot Trades' Federation, travelled to Wellington by the Limited express last niglit. Mr. David Smith, of the Australian Glass Manufacturers, Limited, Sydney, left for Australia by the Awatea yesterday after a short business trip to New Zealand. Mr. E. W. Henderson was admitted a* a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court this morning by Mr. Justice Callan. on the motion of Mr. W. H. Cocker. Mr. W. R. Butcher, assistant locomotive 6U]>erintendent of the Railway Department, was a passenger to Auckland by the Limited express from Wellington this morning. Mr. Frank (ioldberji, governing director of the Goldberg Advertising Agency, Limited, is a passenger by the Mariposa, which will arrive at Auckland from Sydney on Monday morning. The Hon. T. Bloodworth. M.L.C.. chairman of the Auckland Harbour Board returned to Auckland by the Limited express from Wellington this morning The Hons. C. J. Carrington and A. Burns were also passengers. Mr. R. V. Pervman. who has beer assistant chemist at the Wheat Research Institute for the. past year, has been appointed chemist to the \A 00l Manufacturers' Research Association. He wil; work at Otago University. Mr. Stanley B. Pilcher. younger son oi Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Pilcher, of Inverear •rill, has been appointed, manager for th< Union Steam Ship Company. Limited, ai San Francisco. Mr. Pilcher joined thi company at Invercarprill. and subse quently was stationed at Bluff. Thirteei years ago he was transferred to Van eouver, becoming assistant manager, j position from which he has now beei promoted.
