D.ijr whipj>ers, bulldog burner?. pis breakers, beetle cutters and worm trimmers nound like extremely cruel individuals. Yet they follow innocent vocations in metal mining and manufacture. Mule taming in comparison would appear a mild, if puzzling, job t<> those ignorant of the existence of mules, which are not animals, but an important part of the machinery in the cotton and woollen industries.
