JUDGE THREATENED.
TELEPHONE USED. UNKNOWN MAX RINGS. SYDNEY, November 4. Threats against the .Tudge in Divorce (Mr. Justice Boyce) have been made over tbe telephone. Within the last few days lie has been telephoned at his home in the early hours of the morning. On one occasion a man's voice threatened to "get ,, him if the decision in a certain case was unfavourable. At other times tilery was no answer when he lifted the receiver. The judge has had a consultation with Mr. J. C, C'ordell, barrister. On September 9 Mr. C'ordell told Mr. Justice Boyce. in the Divorce Court, that he had received threats over the telephone in a man's voice. On that occasion, the judge said he would take steps to s.e that police made thorough inquiries, in an effort to discover the offender. When Mr. C'ordell was threatened, the voice c=aid, "I'll bump you off if you don't drop your present tactics." It is understood that Mr. Justice Boyce has reported to tit? Chief Justice the threats made to him.
