DISSATISFACTION EXPRESSED. The opinion that the rate of pay allowed jurymen, 10/6 a day or 5/ a half day, is inadequate hae been expressed by eome of those who have been called upon to serve on juries at recent sessions of the Supreme Court, and yesterday, when a jury sitting from 10 a.m. till 6.10 p.m. returned a verdict the foreman, Mr. W. S. Campbell, asked Mr. Justice Callan if he would convey to the Minister of Justice, the Hon H. G. R. Mason, the fact that the jury was dissatisfied with the rate of pay allowed. The foreman said that the majority of jurymen were dependent upon wages for their livelihood and they felt, that the time put in attending the Court involved financial loss. Hie Honor promised to forward the complaint to the Minister and expressed regret that he could not grant a request that tea money be allowed. "My powers are limited by statute and once a jury in finished I cannot allow tea money," said his Honor. '
