AMUSEMENTS.

ROXI-TIVOLI THEATRES. Dealing; with th« troubles of the humble cotton pickers of the southern part of America, "White Bondage," which comes to-morrow to the Roxy and Tivoli Theatres, is described ae a melodroma of particularly stirring qualities. The story deals with the type of cotton workers known as "share croppers," who grow and pick the cotton on a percentage basis. Joseph King, able character actor, is the storekeeper in "White- Bondage," and one of the meanest, most villainous individuals ever seen on a screen, according to the producers. Miss Muir is a winsome country lass, granddaughter of one of the share-croppers, played by the veteran Harry Davenport. Gordon Oliver is a northerner, who discovers all the crookedness, sees that it is punished, and arranges better things for the future. Jack Haley, who made a name for himself as a comedian in "Wake Up and Live." is featured with Rochelle Hudson in "She Had To Eat," the second attraction. Other members of the cast are Arthur Treacher (Jeevee) and Eugene Pallette. Aβ sole manufacturer of an exceedingly potent beverage known as "cactus epider," Jack is said to eclipse all his previous comedy successes. AMUSEMENT GTTIDE. PICTURE THEATRES.
