Perturbed by reports from Wellington that the British and New Zen land Governments are negotiating A new trade agreement, whieh, it is believed, would adversely affect exports to (he Dominion, the National I n ion of Manufacturers has sent a letter to the Board ot Trade asking if the rumour is correct. The letter adds that there is a widespread dissatisfaction among manufacturers with the onc-sidcdness of the Ottawa agreements as they are at present, and any movement in the direction ot altering these, thereby increasing the turther handicap against this country, must add to their anxiety.
