Messrs. W. J. Lyon and J. G. Barclay, M.P.'s, were passengers on the Limited express from Wellington this morning.
Sir Charles Norwood, of Wellington, who recently underwent an operation, is not recovering as well as had been expected.
Mr. G. M. Dillon, manager in New Zealand for Warner Brothers Pictures, arrived in Auckland by train yesterday. He is at the Central Hotel.
Mr. John Smith, who has been pilotinstructor to the Southland Aero Club for the last e-e\en years, has accepted an appointment as pilot with the Cook Strait Airwave, Limited.
Mr. Harold Gatty, special representative 111 Xew Zealand and Australia lor Pan-American Airways, is visiting Tau|>o, and will probably return to Auckland during the week-end.
Mr. E. L. Rutledge, of Wellington, general manager in Xew Zealand for the Fox Film Corporation, will return to Wellington by the Limited express to-night after a short visit to Auckland.
The Hons. T. Bloodwortli, J. Alexander, J. Trevethiek and A. Burns, M.L.C.'s, returned by the Limited express from Wellington this morning. The Hon. J. E. Duncan, travelled as far as Te Awamutu, and the Hon. C. J. Carrington as far as Frankton. On the early express was the Hon. F. E. Lark.
The Rev. Stuart f'tevens, pastor of the Church of Christ in Moorliouse Avenue, Christchurch, has been invited to become minister of the Enmore Tabernacle, the principal church of the denomination in Sydney, in succession to Dr. A. McKenzie Meldrum. Mr. Stevens is president of the Christchurch Ministers' Association and of the Xorth Canterbury Christian Endeavour Union.
