WEATHER FORECAST.
FOR CITY AND PROVINCE. The Government Meteorologist Issued to the " Auckland Star " this afternoon the following special weather forecast for the Auckland province to as far south as Hamilton, Kawhia and Tauranga:— Light to moderate and variable winds, but northerlies shortly prevailing. Weather fair to fine and mild, but cloud increasing. Seas slight to moderate. Tho anti-cyc!one from the Tasman Sea is now located over the North Island, but has lost intensity. A moderate westerly depression covers south-eastern Australia and extends across the south Tasman Sea. FOR THE DOMINION. For 24 hours from 9 a.m. this day:— The indications are for variable and moderate breezes, north-easterly prevailing. There is a prospect of fair weather, but increasing haze and cloudiness, and mild. Barometer ha 3 a falling tendency. Seas smooth to moderate. HAURAKI GULF CONDITIONS. The following report of weather conditions in the Hauraki Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day:— Wind, north, light; sea, smooth; weather, fine, but cloudy and hazy: visibility, fair; barometer, rising.
