THREE STALLS EQUAL.
ST. JOHN AMBULANCE APPEAL. By a coincidence, each of thre« stalls returned £<i 0 and a, few odd shillings, when collections were paid in after the St. John Ambulance Association's street appeal last Friday. There is usuallv some controversy anions collectors as to the best stand in the citv. when stalls are bein.tr allotted, which makes the odd fact of three similar amounts the more interesting. One of the stalls was that situated outside the Commercial Bank of Australia. Queen Street, the second was a few yards down the street, outside the Dilworth Buildin".
and the third stall outside Messrs. <;por:re Court's in Karanjrahapo Road. Tn all. about £1200 was collected on the day.
