GENEROSITY OF VISITOR.
CHEQUE FOR £50 LEFT.
Impressed with the work that is be'ny done for crippled children, a ! ■ -ly visitor to the Wilson Home at Tak uina vesterday left with the matroi. a cheque for £50.
The chairman of the Auckland Hospital Board, the Rev. W. C. Wood, said this morning that the home had made a wonderful appeal to the public, and many generous gifts had been made. Radio had been installed throughout the institution at a total cost to the board of £4, as the material was given by various radio firms in Auckland, and the labour in connection with installation was given free. There had been several gift* of spinal carriages and chaire.
Last evening a concert was held at Takapuna under the auspices of the Wilson Home branch of the Hospital Auxiliary. A short address was given, by the Mayor of Takapuna, Mr. J. Ouiniven, and the contributors to the programme were thanked by Mr. Wood. - sum of £17 was realised.
