This substance, which consists of fibre after the sujrar has hoeii extracted from it. is at prestnt used as fuel for the furnaces in the puyar factories. The new company lias been registered, and fine of its objects is to purchase from Mr. E. A. Ritter, the inventor, the right to use and exploit, in all parts of the world other than Africa, south of the Equator, his secret process for the manufacture of pulp capable of beinp made into paper, newsprint, cardboard and the like. A. company rejristererl in June. 1934, holds the to exploit the process in Africa, smith of the Equator. Severn! years ago this concern acquired a site in the I'm-reni Valley from the Durban Corporation, and it is understood that it lias liocn negotiating with oversea interests in connection with the erection of a factory. The process is heinjr patented in different countries, and Mr. Ritter left Durban recently for Germany in connection with it. Natal Estates were occupied for several years in proving Mr. Ritter's process, and a quantity of newsprint was actually produced a few years a<r o copies of the '"Xatal Mercury" printed on it. " °
