King wa« charged with the theft of a musquash fur coat valued at £50, the property of (J. Smith, Ltd., and two inen'e suits and a bowler hat valued *t £8 10/, the property of Hallenstein Bros. Police Mated that considerable forethought had been shown. Tlie coat was in good order and an expenditure, of £3 3/ would make it aa good as new. When located a man with whom she was living was wearing the clothe*. The hat had been exchanged at the firm's •hop at Palmerston North. Accused was admitted to probation, the conditions being restitution of £3 3/ and £8 10/.
