Minimum weekly rates of wages ranee from £4 0/0 for yArd hands, packers and bach-house workers, to £4 18/0 for firemen For youth# the range is between £1 o/ and £l 10/ for those of 10 to 17 years of and £2 15/ for those from 20 to 21 yearn. For casual workers, that m workers engaged for less than one •week, the rate ia not less than 2/4 an hour.
Firemen and sorters are given an annual holiday of one week on full pay. The award came into force yesterday, for the term of one year. The limits of hours under the Factories Act are extended on the terms of the award, in respect of every occupier of a factory bound by the award.
