£3 FOR THIRD OFFENCE.
RAOBOOVMS TRESPASSER.
"This ia the very type of man the regulations have been framed to keep off racecourses by reason of his criminal record," said Detective-Sergeant McHugh in the Police Court to-day when Francis Halligan appeared on summons and admitted that he had trespassed on Ellerslie racecourse on October 11, when a race meeting was in progress. Halligan had twice previously been fined for trespassing on racecourses, so he knew he was doing wrong on this occasion, said Mr. McHugh. Stating that he was working and doing bis best, and that he left the course immediately when warned by Detective Roddick, Halligan was lined £3 and costs 10/.
