DAMAGE FROM A BOMB WHICH STRUCK FIFTY FEET AWAY.—The 'hundreds of holes punctured in the side of the ss President Hoover Me off the China coast. The bomb causing this damage hit the reater fifty feet from the vessel, after another bomb had made a direct hit, causing the death of one seaman and injury to others.
