NOISY MEETING.
MINISTERS HECKLED,
FARMERS CALLED BONEHEADS
COMPLAINT IN PARLIAMENT.
(By Telejrmph.—Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, Thursday. A noisy mooting at Pukekohe at which the Minister of Agriculture, Mr. Lee Martin, and the Minister of Labour, Mr. Armstrong, were heckled by farmers who were present was referred to in the llouso of Representative* to-night by Mr. Tx'n Martin, who accused an Opposition member of having organised internipt ions. Mr. A. C. A. Sexton (Independent, Franklin) interjected that tho interruptions were not organised. The farmers present were dissatisfied with the Government's policy, he said. Mr. S. O. Holland (National, Christchurch North), to the Minister; Didn't thev give you a hearing? The Minister: No. They did not. I appealed to them. They howled Mr. Armstrong down. Mr. Sexton: Yes. After he called them They weren't farmer* they were •boijeheadn.'* The interruptions were purely spontaneous. They weren't organised tU all. Tho Minister quoted figures to show that farmer#- were enjoying increased returns and «*fd he would have quoted them at Pukekohe if he had been permitted to do so.
