LABOURER'S THEFTS.
TRIP IN CONVERTED CAR.
(By Telegraph.—-Press Association.) WAXGAXUI, this day. A labourer, Peter McXieol (24) was committed for sentence at Auckland oil charges of breaking and entering at Waverley 011 the night of May 25. and stealing cheques and money totalling £24 3/ at Waitotara, and stealing money and a suit case and contents at Westniere and of stealing fl 17/6 and a set of bowls. The accused converted a car to his own use at New Plvmouth, and on liis way to Wellington committed the burglaries between New Plymouth and Wanganui. The bowls and suitcase he dumped in the Rangitikei River.
