Passengers just landed from the DoverOstend Channel boat were horrified to see a Belgian Air Force flyer ora«h into the harbour nearby, his parachute entangled in the machine. He was dashed with fatal effect against the dock wall. The other occupant of the 'plane parachuted to nafety among houses on the outskirts of Ostend The accident was due to the 'plane's grazing another machine in mid-air. The second machine landed safely.
