RIFLE SHOOTING.
TWENTY-TWO BULLS-EYES. GISBORNE MAN'S FEAT. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) GISBORXE, Monday. A remarkable performance was put up by F. J. Jeune, of the Gisborne Defence Rifle Club, in a shoot on the Mangapapa range. Filing at 300 yards he put on 22 successive bulls-eyes when continuing his practice after having completed the number of shots ;fired in a competition at that range. Jeune has been selected as a New Zealand representative for the Empire tournament at Sydney in February. At 500 yards Jeune renistered a possible. T. Park scored bulls-eyes with each of his shots at 600 yards. This was the first occasion on which the possible had been recorded at 600 yardß in a local competition. Park started shooting as a rifle club member only last year.
