ST. ANDREW'S SOCIETY.
INGLESIDE AT NEW LYNN. The St. Andrew's Society of NVw Lynn lield their usual monthly Ingleaide on Saturday in St. Andrew's Hall, Xcw Lynn. The chief, Mr. W. Kay, was piped in with usual honours by Piper J. Robertson, and in a few opening remarks he expressed his pleasure at seeing such s large attendance, showing that tlie members were still taking a keen interest in the society. The main feature of the concert programme was a one-act Scottish comedy by members of the New Lynn St. Andrew's Dramatic Club, those taking part being Mesdames Wilson, Reid, Spence, Messrs. Spence and Duncan. Miss Phyllis Daviea contributed national dances. After supper the chief presented a token of esteem to Mr. and Mrs. N. T. Cathie, members who are leaving the district, Mr. Cathie having been honorary auditor since the society wae formed. Mr. Cathie replied, thanking the members, and expressing the hope that, although leaving New Lynn, he would etill be able to be of assistance to the society in the future. A programme of dancing followed, the M.C. beim? Chieftain D. Campbell, while Messrs. Allan, Jack and Kay provided the music. Official Piper Robertson played for the Scottish reels.
