Auckland is rnurh ahead of the total of 2700 reported from Wellington. That improved conditions are general all over Xew Zealand is proved by the returns from some of the country centres. Remarkable figures are set down for the Hawke's Bay district, where this week nearly 200 men have been given jobs. The total from the east coast of the Xorth Island, about 3000 from April, is well in advance of most of the returns from southern cities.
