The death has occurred of Mr. M. P. Ballard, of Runciman. after a short illness. Living practically all his life In the district. he was well known to a wide circle of friends in Franklin. Mr. Ballard took a prominent part in the Franklin A. and P. Society. He was made an honorary life member of the society at the last annual meeting.
