AUSTRALIAN CLUB.

The Australian Club held a successful luncheon party at George Court's tearooms, when the speaker was Mrs. Lord, who has lived for many years in China. Her talk was of the preeent situation there, and she presented the subject in a most interesting manner. At the conclusion she was given a hearty vote of thanks by the president of the women's section, Mrs. G. Pezaro. The visitors were: Mesdames A. Pearce (Montreal, Canada), A. Custer (Inverness. Scotland), Anguin, H. B. Harper, Chewings, Miss Hutter.
