PRIESTLEY DRAMA.
BY SHERIDAN PLAYERS,
A professional polish characterised the presentation of J. B. Priestlay's dramatic play "Dangerous Corner," by the Sheridan Players in the Lewis Eady Hail last evening. Owing to the dramatic nature of the play a strain i« placed on the players, but it was pleasing to note that the dialogue, upon which the success or otherwise of the piece depends, was brought out with more finish than is usual with amateur performers.
Each part had its difficulty, and each was handled with commendable skill. Howard Xewcornbe and Iwa Pearson, in the roles of Robert and Freda Canlan, invested the play with a dignified finesse and aided its continuity and smoothness of action, while Marjorie Kyle, as Olwen Peel, in a "heavier" role, was most convincing. Oth.r characters were Xanee Lamb, as Betty Whitehouse, Philip Jay, as Gordon Whitehouse, Jack Spooner, as Charles Trevor Stanton. and Marjorie Romervell as Maud Mackridgc. The producer was Miss Merlyn Spoonpr. A further presentation will be given this evening.
