ARMY CORPS NEEDED FOR FRANCO VICTORY.

ITALIAN SOLDIERS.

Commander Reported Urging Mussolini.

FASCIST COUNCIL TO MEET.

United Press Association.—Copyright. (Received 10 a.m.) ROME, October 4. The British United Press Rome correspondent states that General Teruzzi, commander of the Italians in Spain, is reported to be urging Signor Mussolini to dispatch a full army corps to ensure General Franco's victory.

II Duce's decision is not known but large contingents in North Italy, adaptable to winter warfare, are being called up.

Signor Mussolini has summoned the Fascist Grand Council to meet on Thursday. The agenda includes "international affairs with special reference to Spain."

According to the Rome correspondent of the "Daily Telegraph" the Italian reply to the British and French Notes is expected to insist on the prior grant of belligerent rights to General Franco, and the extension of non-intervention to all activities of foreign Powers and citizens.

Britain and France, it is believed, will also be asked how they propose to secure the withdrawal of volunteers on the Government side, many of whom allegedly have been given Spanish nationality.

OVER 100 ARRESTS. FASCIST MARCH SEQUEL. (Rpct'ived 9.30 a.m.) LONDON, October 4. Two Courts heard 112 cases arising out of the Fascist march. In the majority a small fine was imposed, with an occasional month's imprisonment.

In a statement Sir Oswald Mosley said: "The barricading of the streets and organised violence were deliberately planned in advance by our SocialistCommunist opponents. It is not a matter for Fascist comment, but for Government action if law and order and the authority of the Government are to survive in Britain."
