DUKE OF WINDSOR.

MISSED WOLF HUNT.

CONTINENTAL EXPERIENCES. i DID NOT SEE CASTLE GHOST. . (Special.—By Air Mail.) LOJPON, September 11. There were many reasons why the Duke and Duchess of Windsor regret leaving Castle Wasserleonburg. One is that the Duke will not be able to take part in the hunt for a wolf which, the villagers swear, is still roaming on the slopes of the Dobratsch range nearby.

Another reason is that neither the Duke nor the Duchese has yet seen the Wasserleonburg ghost. Local rumour says this haunts the old tower of the castle. It is supposed to be the ghost of Count von Schwa rtzenberg, who was murdered by his wife in the castle in the sixteenth centurv.

The Duke is also sorry to move away from the Dellach golf course, which is thirty miles from Wasserleonburg, and is probably the best in Austria. It was founded by an Englishman, Major Foster, who has known the Duke for some years* The Duke, in shorts, followed by the customary Austrian girl caddies, has been a very familiar figure on the Dellach links in the last few months. The Duke wore a kilt occasionally in the castle grounds. On the only occasion he wore one outside the grounds he caused a local sensation and the fact was broadcast throughout Austria. Detectives attached to the Duke are pleased by the prospect of a move from Castle Wasserleonburg. Their work there has been hard. They have had to watch every mountain path on which the Duke went walking, to follow him on his vigorous climbs, and to arrange for his motor trips. On one occasion recently when the Duke and Duchess of Windsor were taking an afternoon walk, they crossed the frontier into Italy (only a few miles from Castle Wasserleonburg). Italian police hurried «P' *"** finding who the trespassers were tJ*$J guided them back to Austria with enuie. and salutes.
