NEW ZEALAND BREWERIES FIRM. (By TrlPßMph.—Special to "Star.") CHRIST/CHURCH, this day. Following yesterday's quiet trading the markets in Chi istclniivh were again subdued this morning. A few major alterations were noted, though an easing tone was evident in Goldsbrough, Morts, Aus tialian Glass and Broken Hill Proprietary. Scarcely any interest was taken in metals.
Bunks remained close to late rates, and in insurances a buyer came in for South British at C 4 14/0. sellers £4 15/.

New Zealand Breweries confirmed a stronger tendency with another small rise to il'2 !) 1), the market closing with more buyers at the sale iiiioo, sellers £2 10/. Miscellaneous industrials had iMisiuess in Broken Hill Proprietary at a reduction i/t (id. to L'.'S 17,3. in Australian Cilass at tl 11'10, and in Hume Pipes (Australia) at a rise of 2(1 to par. Buyers for Wileox, Molllins at !•-' and for Tarunaki Oilfields at 7 .'5 could not attract sellers within range.
(Jrey Rivers remained firm among mining shaves, and Morgans gained Id.
