WEATHER FORECAST.
FOR CITY AND PROVINCE. The Government Meteorologist issued to the "Auckland Star" this afternoon the following special weather forecast for the Auckland province to as far south as Hamilton, Kawhia and Tauranga. Light to moderate southerly winds, later becoming variable. Weather fine, with 000 l night, but mild day tenperatures. Seas slight to moderate. An anti-cyclone is moving slowly across the Tasman Sea on to the Dominion, and although a slight secondary depression has been passing in the extreme south pressure has risen everywhere. FOR THE DOMINION. For 24 hours from 9 a.m. this day:— The indications are for moderate southerlies, decreasing, and later variable. There is a prospect of fair weather. The barometer has a rising tendency. Seas smooth to moderate. HAURAKI GULF CONDITIONS. The following report of weather conditions in the Hauraki Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day:— Wind, south-south-west, fresh; sea, moderate; weather, fine, but cloudy; visibility, good; barometer, steady.
