After two days of distress and uncertainty the young couple were quietly married on .Saturday afternoon. The search which was made for the bridegroom after the delivery of his note to the bride informing her that he could not go on with the weddinjj was continued for nearly two days, before the young man was located at Pakipaki, about eight miles from Hastings.

It i- stated he was in a dwtret*<ed condition and was actually suffering from a slight lapse of memory. It is» explained that bis condition was due to unexpected financial worries disclosed only a few hours before the wedding wart due to take place, and that the heavy lortis which he suffered had greatly u[»set him.
