In the handicap foursomes Miss K O Sullivan and Miss Meuli, Hawera, on a handicap of 14, returned 84, giving them the best net score of 70. Mrs. Kuropa Tareha and Miss T. Tareha were second with 88—13—75. The standard of play was not so high as on previous days. all. the competitors feeling the strain of continuous play. The best scores in the champion event were:—Miss B. Kernot and Miss E. M. Hutton, 79; Mrs. Sloan Morpeth and Miss Tolhurst, 80; Miss H. Buchanan and Miss White-Parsons. 83; Miss K. AUCKLAND CLUB. In the final of the W. R. Wilson Cup competition, controlled by the Auckland Ladies' Golf Club, Miss P. France (24) defeated Mrs. 6. Ferguson (11), 6 and 6.
MANUKAU CLUB.
MANUKAU CLUB. The winner of the match for Mrs. J. Valentine's trophy, played bv members of the Manukau Ladies' Golf Club, was Miss 1.. Mcllraith, who carried the flag to the nueteenth fairway. -Her score was 103— 32 —71. The next best scores were :— Mrs. V. Goddard, 91—19—72; Mrs. B. C. Carpenter, 89—17—72: Mlss'B. Busing, 108—36—72 : Mrs. F. H. Barnard, 91—14 —i 7; Mrs. R. Grant, 97—19—78. ; In the intermediate championship Mrs. A. Carroll beat Mrs. R. Grant, 3 and 2. NORTH SHORE CLUB. Following were the results of the monthly medal match played on Saturday by the week-end members of the. North Shore Ladies' Golf Club :—Miss Currie, 110—30—74 ; Mrs. C. Porter, 104—30— 74; Miss I. Corner, 99—24—75; Miss J. Best, 95—23—73. Miss Currie won on the recount. LADIES' TEAMS MATCH. An inter-club match between the Akarana and .Manukau Ladies' Golf Clubs, plaved on the Manukau links, resulted in a win for Akarana by eight matches to one., one being all square. Following are results, Akarana names being mentioned first :— Miss I. McCready beat Mrs. F. H. Barnard, 5 and 3 ; Mrs. E. Philip and Mrs. K. Napier, all square; Mrs. G. M. Tilston lost to Mrs. B. C.
