YOUNG PEOPLE'S DAY.
PRESBYTERIAN SERVICES. "Young People's Day" was celebrated by the Presbyterian Church yesterday throughout New Zealand and Australia. A special form of service which had been prepared was used in most of the Presbyterian churches in Auckland. Yesterday was also the Bible classes' day of prayer in New Zealand. "Morning watches" arranged by the, youth committee of the Auckland Presbytery were held in the morning on Mount Hobson, Mount Eden, One Tree Hill and Mount Albert. Speakers at the services were Mr. A. Sutherland, the Rev. D. Spence, the Rev. J. W. McKenzie and the Rev. R. Alley respectively. The twelfth anniversary of the founding of the Scott Presbyterian Church Sunday school, One Tree Hill, was celebrated yesterday in conjunction with Young People's Day. An address was given by the Rev, W. J. Pellow at the afternoon service, at the close of which a baptismal service was held. The preacher in the evening was. Mr. R. McKenzie, Bible class leader. Members of the class read the lessons.
