CROQUET OPENING.

ROCKY ROOK CLUB. The official opening of the Rocky Nook Croquet Club took place on Saturday, when the president, Mrs. W. H. Keatley, welcomed a large gathering of members, honorary members and visitors from sister clubs. Mrs. C. Webber, president Auckland Croquet Association, addressed the gathering and wished the club a successful season. Mrs. Keatley then called on Mrs. T. Hodgson, senior member of the club, to play the first ball of the season. Member* of the executive present were: Mesdames Keesing (secretary), T. A. Pinch, C. McGill, J. Clarke, E. A. Robertson, J. C. Badeley. The weather was beautiful and enjoyable games were played. Mrs. Keatley presented prizes to the following players:—A: Mesdames R. Randrup, F. Preston, A. McAneney, B: Mesdames L. Scott, J. Young, and Cornea.
