Hp gave inheritance of earth Who gave me eyes to see: No noble prince of peerless birth. Of wide domains and pedigree Has such inheritance as I— The sea, the hills, the stars, the sky, All these He gave to me; He gave inheritance of earth Who gave to me to see. He save inheritance of earth Who gave me ears to hear; Xo other heir may count his worth Who cannot count the l>lessed ear. Music, and soft-spoken words. The song of love, the sweet of birds— The treasures of the ear. He gave inheritance of earth Who gave to me to bear. He gave inheritance of earth Who gave me taste and touch And smell, and brain to know their worth. And heart to count them much And lips to love., and mind to think, And sleep, and pain, and food and drink And other riches such; He gave inheritance of earth Who gaYe to me as much. I/EX VOI.
